Step 5: Saving the Best for Last ~ Dynamics of Life ~ Decisions
“Everything tells me that I am about to make a wrong decision, but making mistakes is just part of life. What does the world want of me? Does it want me to take no risks, to go back to where I came from because I didn’t have the courage to say “yes” to life?” ~ Paulo Coelho, Eleven Minutes
“Be’s That Way (2007 Digital Remaster) (Feat. Dizzy Gillespie)” from Gil Fuller & The Monterey Jazz Festival Orchestra Featuring Dizzy Gillespie. Released: 2008.
Joel Osteen in “Your Best Life Now” states: “You must make a decision that you are going to move on. It won’t happen automatically. You …say, ‘I don’t care how hard this is, I don’t care how disappointed I am, I’m not going to let this get the best of me. I’m moving on with my life.” We have covered four of the secret habits, taking responsibility for creating your life; understanding that you live in the present tense; you accept the reality that “You” are fully engaged to live at your purest potential; Trusting the process and not letting the “chatter” of your mind influence your decisions. How about you, are you living and transforming in the present tense?
The best life lesson I have learned is that “…don’t let the way somebody treated you, or what they did or didn’t give you keep you from pressing forward and becoming all that God has created you to be. The people who raised you may have had addictions, but that doesn’t have to be your future. You can break that negative cycle. Your parents may have had anger issues or never amounted to much, but you don’t have to keep letting that curse be passed from generation to generation. You can be the one to say, “No more. This is a new day! I may have had an unfair past, but I’m not going to have an unfair future. I know God put a blessing on me before anybody could put a curse, and I’m not going to let my heredity stop my destiny.” It is totally up to you? Peace Out! JBC 8-)
